Biography

JEFFREY “SCOTT” HARSHA, 43, of Kankakee, IL formerly of Tuscola, IL passed away at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.

A memorial service was held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Calvary Bible Church, 2587 E. Armour Rd., Bourbonnais, IL. Dr. Rev. Eric Tober officiated. A graveside service will be held in the Tuscola Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 12, 2011. The Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL is assisting with arrangements.

Scott was born on August 2, 1968 in Kankakee, IL. He was a son of Jerry and Bonnie (Wood) Harsha. He married Andrea Collier on May 29, 1988 in Tuscola, IL.

He is survived by his wife Andrea Harsha; two children, Derek and Alexandra Harsha; his parents, Jerry and Bonnie Wood Harsha; one brother, Mike Harsha and his wife Tara; paternal grandmother, Lissie Harsha; two aunts, Carolyn and Chris Harsha; one uncle Bruce Wood and his wife Renee’ all of Kankakee, IL, four nephews. Andrew, Jerry, Justin and Ethan; two nieces Kaytlyn and Nicole a brother-in-law Rod Collier and his wife Lisa of Marietta, GA and his in-laws Tom and Carol Collier of Tuscola, IL

Scott was preceded in death by his Sister, Lisa Harsha, maternal grandparents, John and Lorraine Wood and his paternal grandfather, Walter Harsha.

He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church and the Aroma Park Boat Club.

Scott was a professional carpenter and was the Director of QA QC at TH Davidson and Company, Inc.

He coached many youth sports including Pony League Baseball. He loved woodworking, boating and being with his family.

Memorials may be made to Scott’s family in care of Edwards Funeral Home.
