Jerry Peeler

JERRY LEE PEELER, 65, of Arthur, IL passed away at 3:20 A.M. on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

A visitation was held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL.

Jerry was born on September 20, 1945 in Tompkinsville, KY. He was a son of Cloy W. and Vada (Fish) Peeler. He married Brenda J. Edwards on July 30, 1976 in Arcola, IL.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Peeler in Arthur, IL; four daughters, Brandy Murphy of Sullivan, IL, Stacy Dyer of Hammond, IL, Shelly Mann and her husband Jason of Hammond, IL and Angie Rambo of Atwood, IL; one son, Tim Nelson of Camargo, IL; ten grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter; one sister, Brenda Snoke of Decatur, IL and three brothers, Bobby Peeler and his wife Alice of Arthur, IL, Roger Peeler of Decatur, IL and Joe Peeler of Lansing, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Nathan Peeler, one grandson, Dominick Peeler, one sister, Audrey Peeler and one brother, Jim Peeler.

Jerry was a in the drywall trade for nearly fifty years. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, horses, drinking coffee with friends, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
