Joanna Sigler

JOANNA SIGLER, 64, of Arthur, IL passed away at 3:50 P.M. on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Arthur Home.

Joanna was born on September 20, 1943 in Decatur, IL. She was a daughter of G. Everett and Mildred B. (Gibson) Bradford.

She is survived by three children, Tony Sigler of Lovington, IL, Angie Hollingsworth and her husband Scott of Arthur, IL and Suzy Sigler of Arthur, IL; two grandchildren Macy and Jake Hollingsworth; 3 step-grandchildren Brittanie Hollingsworth and Christine and Caleb Poynter; two step-great-grandchildren; one brother, George Bradford and his wife Nancy of Gulf Shores, AL; two sisters, Linda Perrine and her husband Rod of Sullivan, IL and Patti Dukeman and her husband Terry of Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Crystal Chapter # 39 and the Vine Street Christian Church.

Joanna helped establish girls softball in Arthur in 1969, she had been a Grand Marshal for Arthur’s annual 4th of July parade. Many years ago, she drove a school bus for Arthur Schools and was a janitor at the grade school. She had worked at Noble Romans Pizza, Little Joe’s Shell gas station, she cleaned at Paul and Judy’s and Oye’s Hardware, and retired from Masterbrand Cabinets Inc. with over twenty years of service.

Joanna’s hobbies included making sugar cookies with her grandchildren and making wooden lawn ornaments.
