Biography

JODI NACHOLE (QUICK) COWELL, 37, of Garrett, IL passed away at 8:00 A.M. on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Atwood Christian Church, 229 S. Main St. in Atwood, IL. Rev. Don Gerkin will officiate. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery in Atwood, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the Atwood Christian Church. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Jodi was born on June 28, 1977 in Decatur, IL. She was a daughter of Johnny Eugene and Bonnie Sue (Olexa) Quick. She married Larry Martin Cowell II on September 20, 2014 in Atwood, IL.

Jodi is survived by her husband, Larry Cowell of Atwood, IL; four children, Aiden and Lane Drake of Atwood, IL, Layla Quick of Atwood, IL and Lillianna Eckart of Decatur, IL; a step-daughter, Kylie Cowell of Indianapolis, IN; her mother, Bonnie Quick of West Palm Beach, FL, three brothers, Travis Quick of Philadelphia, PA, Troy and Tyler Quick, maternal grandmother, Helen Ray and one sister, Stephanie Quick all of West Palm Beach, FL; her aunt Cynthia Quick of Atwood, IL and her uncle Aaron Quick and his wife Barb of Bloomington, IL; uncles, Steven, Johnny and Tim Olexa and aunts, Sharon Crandle and Cindy Bijur; a special friend, Jennifer Deel of Atwood, IL and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Quick, and her paternal grandparents, Eugene and Joan Quick, and maternal grandfather, Bernard Ray.

She was a member of the Atwood Christian Church.

Jodi was employed at the Ivesdale Meat Locker.

She was very adventurous. She loved the outdoors, going to the lake, sitting around a camp fire and riding horses were a few of her favorite things to do. Spending time with family and friends, especially her children, is what she enjoyed the most.
