JOEL N. SCHROCK, 94, of Arthur, IL passed away at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at his residence in rural Arthur, IL.

Joel was born October 11, 1913 in Douglas County, IL. He is a son of Noah B. and Lydia (Kauffman) Schrock. He married Sovilla Miller on October 3, 1935. She passed away September 6, 2007.

Survivors include two sons Edward Schrock and his wife Mary Ellen (Schrock) of Arthur, IL and Ervin Schrock and his wife Sarah (Hostetler) of West Farmington, OH; three daughters Anna Stutzman and her husband John of Arcola, IL, Katie Beachy and her husband Levi of Arthur, IL and Verna Kaufman and her husband Lewis of Arthur, IL; one daughter in-law Lizzie (Beachy) Schrock of Arthur, IL; 31 grandchildren; 99 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; three brothers Enos Schrock and his wife Rachel of Rockville, IN, Ben Schrock of Arcola, IL and Harvey Schrock of Seymour, MO and one sister Katie Gingerich of Arthur, IL.

His parents, his wife, one son Omer, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Joel was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.

Bishop Omer Otto will officiate.

Burial will be held immediately following the funeral service.
