John J. Stutzman

JOHN J. STUTZMAN, 88, of Arcola, IL passed away at 2:45 A.M. on Friday, October 28, 2022, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, October 31, 2022, at the HCK West Building, in Arthur, IL. Bishop Raymond S. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

John was born on October 28, 1934, in Arcola, IL. He was a son of Jonas J. and Lizzie S. (Beachy) Stutzman. He married Anna J. Schrock on April 10, 1958, in Arthur, IL, they lived in Holy Matrimony for 64 years.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Stutzman of Arcola, IL, three children, Sovilla Arlene Miller and her husband Homer of Arthur, IL, Edward Stutzman and his wife Alma Fern (Herschberger) of Arthur, IL and Paul Eugene Stutzman and his wife Lillian Sue (Miller) of Arcola, IL, 21 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Ada Stutzman of Plain City, OH

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Elva Leon Stutzman, two stillborn daughters, Rosella, and Lela, 1 grandson, Darrin Stutzman, 2 great granddaughters, Emily, and Serena, 2 brothers, Dan and Henry Stutzman and 4 sisters, Martha, Barbara, Ella, and Ida Stutzman.

John was a carpenter for many years, and he was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
