Juanita Frances Dallmier, 89, of Arcola, IL passed away at 10:41 A.M. on Sunday, February 17, 2008 at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, at the corner of East Washington and South Pine in Arcola, IL. Father Allen Kemme will officiate. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. A Biblical Wake Service led by Father Daren J. Zehnle will be at 4:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main Street in Arcola, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Juanita was born at the family residence one mile South of Chesterville, IL on August 25, 1918. She was a daughter of Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Johnson) Hilgenberg. She married Eugene Joseph Dallmier in Arcola, IL on September 6, 1954.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Dallmier of Arcola, IL; one sister, Alberta Brehm of Arthur, IL; three nieces, Dr. Barbara Rae Brehm of Arcola, IL, Beverly Pryor and her husband, Dave, of Arcola, IL and Brenda Reeser of Arcola, IL and one nephew, Mike Hilgenberg and his wife, Cheryl, of Arthur, IL.

Her parents; one half-sister, Genevive Hilgenberg Grant; two brothers, Jennings Hilgenberg and John Hilgenberg and one niece, Honoure Tapen preceded her in death.

Juanita was a practical nurse prior to her marriage. She also worked at the Arcola telephone office as an operator from 1937 to 1954.

Juanita was a member St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and The Altar and Rosary Society. She was a very good cook and an impeccable housekeeper. Juanita was an accomplished seamstress and she especially enjoyed quilting.
