Judy was born on May 25, 1945 in Tuscola, IL, to Charles B. and Louise Kate (Troop) Albin. She graduated from Arcola High School in 1963 and then attended Utterback Business College. Judy married Philip Blaase, her high school sweetheart, on August 7, 1965.
Judy is survived by her husband, Phil, one daughter, Angela Clark and her husband Bryan, three granddaughters Kylee Herschberger, and her husband Derrick, Lexee Clark and Laynee Clark and her fiancé, Tim Bridges, two great grandchildren, Raegan and Camden Herschberger, siblings, Lynn Albin and his wife Marcia, John Albin and his wife Debbie, and Mary Warner and her husband Jim, brother-in-law, Mike Blaase, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Kate Albin, an infant brother, Billy Albin, and her in-laws Hoyt and Alliece Blaase.
Judy worked as a secretary for USI and as an administrative assistant at Carle. However, Judy would tell you that her most favorite and cherished position was taking care of her parents. That was very important to her, and she enjoyed those special years with her parents.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her family including shopping with her granddaughters. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved wrapping presents and spoiling her kids and grandkids. Judy enjoyed working with her flowers and she also loved photography. Judy and Phil were often seen at sporting events for their grandchildren. One of her favorite hobbies was scrapbooking. Judy and Phil enjoyed many vacations in Bennet Springs Missouri with family and friends. They also enjoyed Arizona and Texas in the winter. For many years Phil and Judy took their children and grandchildren on a Valentines/hotel weekend and that tradition continues with their children and great grandchildren.
Suggested memorials include Camp New Hope and Mike Kerner Memorial Scholarships.
