Kathryn Smith

KATHRYN L. SMITH, 91, of Arcola, IL formerly of Decatur, IL passed away at 8:45 P.M. on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Bethany Cemetery in rural Assumption, IL. Rev. John Coney will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Kathryn was born on August 16, 1918 in Decatur, IL. Se was a daughter of George Lee and Anna Rose (Rath) Smith.

She is survived by one daughter Barbara Peterson and her husband Duane of Kernersville, NC; two grandchildren, Joel Peterson of Redlands, CA and Lisa Paden of Charlotteville, NC; five great grandchildren and several nieces nephews.

Kathryn had worked as a data entry specialist for the State of Illinois while Jim Thompson was governor.
