Keith Hillyard

KEITH HILLYARD, 77, of Arthur, IL passed away at 11:36 A.M. on Friday, August 28, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Arthur Cemetery. Rev. Leroy Allison will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Keith was born on May 14, 1932 in Dycusburg, KY. He was a son of Walton E. and Lois M. (Anderson) Hillyard. He married Mary Ann (Dukeman) (Creek) on November 11, 1989 in Scottsdale, AZ.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Hillyard of Arthur, IL; one son Steven Keith Hillyard and his wife Kathryn Ann Dexheimer of Katy, TX; one daughter Carol Elaine Wilson and her husband Ervin Edward of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Robert Keith Dexheimer Hillyard, Patrick Michael Dexheimer Hillyard, Angela Brooke Wilson Kemp and Brandon Keith Wilson and his wife Samantha; one great-granddaughter, Hannah Kate Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Wanda Goodman.

Keith was a Navy Veteran. He was a 32 Degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Arthur Masonic Lodge.

Keith had sold insurance for many years, he worked at various car dealerships and from 1989 to 1997, he operated Hillyard Ford, in Pelham, GA.

He and Mary Ann retired to Arthur, IL in 1997. During retirement, Keith was an avid fisherman, motorcyclist, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
