Kenneth Hohlbauch

KENNETH E. HOHLBAUCH, 72, of Arcola, IL passed away at 6:57 P.M. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Arthur Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main, Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. A Party in Kenneth’s honor will be held at the Kaskaskia Country Club in Arcola, IL stating at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2012.

Kenneth was born on March 8, 1940 in Clay City, IL. He was a son of Leland Eugene and Mildred Ellen (Duke) Hohlbauch. He married Karen Lee Morris on November 26, 1969 in Arcola, IL. She passed away on July 6, 1980.

He is survived by three children, Kendall Moore and her husband Jeff and Kevin Hohlbauch and his wife Jill all of Arcola, IL and Kimberley Anderson of Mattoon, IL; seven grandchildren, Kacee and Kelsey Moore, KayLee, Keira and Kaden Hohlbauch, Kacy Fillman and Kersh Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Karen, and one sister Kathryn Kermicle.

Kenneth was an Army Veteran. He retired from CIPS as a Substation Electrician in 1997 with over 33 years of service.

He was a member of the American Legion in Arthur, IL, the Eagle’s Club in Mattoon, IL and the Kaskaskia Country Club in Arcola, IL.

In the 70s Kenneth enjoyed driving off road buggies and helped start Lincoln Trail Off Roaders Club.

He was an avid Arcola Sports Fan, enjoyed playing golf, and spending time with family and friends.
