Biography

KEVIN SCOTT EADIE, 13, of Arcola, IL passed away at 7:24 P.M. on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at the Arcola High School Gymnasium. Rev. Waldemar Perez and Rev. Josh Cougle will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:30 P.M. on Sunday, October 23, 2011 in the Arcola High School Gymnasium. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting Kevin’s family with arrangements

Kevin was born September 26, 1998 in Mattoon, IL, the son of Annie Eadie.

Survivors include his mother Annie Eadie of Arcola, IL; his grandparents Mark and Patty Eadie of Arcola, IL; three aunts Holli Cougle and her husband Josh of Vandalia, OH, Grace Schellenberg of Arcola, IL and Francine Neeley and her husband Dewayne of Bowling Green, KY; ten cousins, Tori, Emmi, Abbi, Kezzi and Evi Cougle; Levi and Landon Schellenberg and Laci Ozee; and Fowler and Oliver Neeley; his great-grandmother Betty Glasscock of Gays, IL and many, many friends including his church youth group, teammates and coaches and his dog Carver.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Fred and Kathryn Lutz and Jack Eadie

Kevin was a member of the Arcola Spanish Church of the Nazarene.

Kevin was a 7th grader at Arcola Jr. High School. A talented athlete, he excelled in many sports and his favorite was football. He not only played sports, he enjoyed watching them. He was a true “Purple Rider Fan”.

Everyone who met Kevin loved him. He was a genuine friend and had a contagious smile that will never be forgotten.
