Larry Anderson Sr

LARRY ANDERSON SR., 71 of Tuscola, IL passed away at 8:24 P.M. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his residence in Tuscola, IL.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Rev. Mike Wilder will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Larry was born on December 30, 1939 in Arcola, IL he was a son of Leonard
Rex and Lillian Annabelle (Janes) Anderson. He married Sharon Lawrence on December 27, 1958 in Arcola, IL.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Anderson of Tuscola, IL, three sons, Larry Anderson, Bob Anderson and Andy Anderson and his wife Kathy all of Tuscola, IL; six grandchildren, Adam, Brian, Chris, Doug, Elizabeth and Parker; one great-grandson, Elliot; four brothers, Phil Anderson and his wife Debbie and Bill Anderson and his wife Rita all of Arcola, IL; Dennis Anderson and his wife Dorothy and Ken Anderson and his wife Mary Ann all of Mattoon, IL; two sisters, Sue Clark and her husband John of Champaign and Lynn Blissard of California and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was a Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Tuscola VFW, the Moose in Tuscola, the Eagles of Mattoon and the NRA.

He was retired from the Teamsters Union after 27 years of service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a big fan of football, baseball, golf and NASCAR. His favorite thing spending time with his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Association.
