Larry Taylor

LARRY KENT TAYLOR, 79, of Sherman, IL passed away at 2:34 P.M. on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at his residence.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Larry was born on April 13, 1937 in Mattoon, IL. He was a son of Jack and Corma Jane (Finlay) Taylor. He married Nancie Ann Phelps on October 18, 1980 in Las Vegas, NV.

He is survived by his wife, Nancie Taylor of Sherman, IL, three sons, Tom Taylor and his wife Shirley, Kurt Taylor and his wife Barb, and Nate Taylor and his wife Deanna, one daughter, Jacki Styles and her husband Mike, two step-daughters, Trisha Chapman and Kristin Shaughnessy, and six grandchildren, Larry, Hannah, Jackson, Sawyer, Cameron, and Makenna.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother.

Larry enjoyed golfing, traveling, watching the Illini, Bears, and Cubs play. He loved his dogs. He lived life to the fullest. There was never a dull moment when he was around.
