Laura Diener

LAURA A. (HERSCHBERGER) DIENER, 77 of Arcola, IL passed away at 7:05 A.M. on Monday, February 21, 2011 at home.

She was born February 8, 1934 in Nappanee, IN, a daughter of Annanias B. and Drusilla (Yoder) Herschberger. She married Levi M. Diener on December 1, 1955 in Arthur, IL. He survives. Also surviving are 7 children, Dennis of Arthur, IL, Willard (Mary) of Arcola, IL, Rebekah (Allan) Borntreger of Oakland, IL, Tobias of Arthur, IL, Ruth (Ed) Miller of Arthur, IL, Irma (Glen) Miller of Ligonier, IN and Ira (Esther) of Goshen, IN; 28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers and 1 sister, Henry (Wilma) of Goshen, IN, David (Frieda) of Sioux Lookout, ON, Canada, Ura (Sarah) of Arthur, IL, Omer Ray of Niles, MI and Fannie Mae (Jacob) Helmuth of Lovington, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister and 1 great-grandson.

Laura was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Jake Stutzman residence, 421 N CR 400 E, Arcola, IL. Bishop Jake Stutzman will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and evening at the Jake Stutzman residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
