Lena Yoder

LENA A. YODER, 86, of Sullivan, IL passed away at 3:45 P.M. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Pleasant View Church, Arcola, IL. Howard Kuhns will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. tonight, March 16, 2011 at Pleasant View Church and from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Pleasant View Church. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Lena was born on October 6, 1924 in Moultrie County, IL, a daughter of Adlai B. and Katie H. (Mast) Miller. She married Adlai E. Yoder on November 30, 1944 near Arthur, IL. They were married 66 years.

She is survived by her husband Adlai; seven children, Katie Fern (Floyd) Helmuth of LaGrange, IN, Larry (Pat) Yoder, Glen (Carol) Yoder, Clifford (Kathy) Yoder, Leona (Ed) Kuhns all of Sullivan, IL; Linda (Merle) Plank of Arcola, IL and Wayne (Corina) Yoder also of Sullivan, IL; twenty-seven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lucy Schrock of Arcola, IL; Ella (Ray) Bontrager of Sullivan, IL and Sovilla Miller of Arthur, IL and three sisters-in-law, Mattie Miller of Arthur, IL, Alta Miller of Arcola, IL and Ardith Miller of Sherman, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Henry, Fred, and Daniel Miller, one brother-in-law Ben Schrock and three great-grandsons.

She was a faithful member of Pleasant View Church
