Leroy Plank

LEROY I. PLANK, 35, of Arthur, Il passed away at 10:40 P.M. on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the family residence, 327 North County Road 200 East in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Omer Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be anytime prior to the service at the family residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting Leroy’s family with arrangements.

Leroy was born on October 16, 1973 in Decatur, IL. He was a son of Ivan J. and Clara Mae (Kauffman) Plank. He married Rhoda Stutzman on June 8, 2000 in Sullivan, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Rhoda of Arthur; 2 daughters, Regina Faye and Elaine Rose Plank both at home; his parents, Ivan J. and Clara Mae Plank of Arthur, IL; 6 siblings, Allen Plank and his wife Amanda of Arcola, IL, Jerry Plank and his wife Joann of Arthur, IL, Ruth Ann Plank of Arthur, IL, Mary Fern Plank of Flat Rock, IL, Sovilla Mae Plank of Arthur, IL and Eldon Plank of Arthur, IL; his maternal-grandmother, Sovilla Kauffman of Arthur, IL, his mother and father in-law Marvin and Sarah Stutzman of Sullivan, IL and a brother-in-law, Glenn Schrock.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather George Kauffman, his paternal grandparents Jacob and Lizzie Plank; one sister Dorothy Marie Schrock and one brother Raymond Plank.

Leroy was a farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
