Letha Crites

Letha Crites, 100, of Hindsboro, IL passed away at 4:25 P.M. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Champaign Urbana Nursing and Rehabilitation in Savoy, IL.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Edwards Funeral Home 221 East Main Street, Arcola, IL.  Pastor Brent Budd will officiate.  Burial will be in the VanVoorhis Cemetery rural Hindsboro.  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.

Letha was born November 21, 1917 in Richland County, IL.  She was a daughter of James Adam and Martha Miller Cotterall.  She married Joy L. Crites July 24, 1937 in Vincennes, IN.  Joy passed away October 20, 1994.

Survivors include three children, Phyllis Douglas and her husband Ned of Hindsboro, IL, Betty Hackett and her husband Bob of Port St. John’s, FL, and James Crites of Rantoul, IL; 8 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers Gerald, Ralph, Alfred and Cloyd and 1 sister Edna Hasler and 1 daughter in-law Jeanne Crites

Letha retired as a Bookkeeper after several years of service from Skelgas.

She was a member of the Hindsboro United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Hindsboro American Legion Auxiliary
