LEVI D. BEACHY, 76, of Arthur, IL passed away at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at his residence in Arthur.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Central Wood LLC, 226 E CR 200 N, Arcola, IL. Bishop Philip Schrock will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation was held after 1:00 P.M. on Friday April 22, 2016 and will also be held any time between 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Central Wood LLC.

Levi was born on July 5, 1939 in rural Arthur, IL. He was the son to David J. and Ida Mae (Schrock) Beachy. He married Katie J. Schrock on March 3, 1960.

He is survived by his wife, Katie Beachy of Arthur, IL, eight children, Anna Viola Beachy of Arthur, IL, Sovilla Mae Zook and her husband Abner of Trenton, KY, Wilmer Beachy and his wife Sarah of Guthrie, KY, Omer Beachy and his wife Dorothy of Humboldt, IL, Melvin Beachy and his wife Beth Ann of Arthur, IL, Lorene Helmuth and her husband Steven of Millersburg, OH, Marilyn Miller and her husband Orvan of Arcola, IL, and Raymond Beachy and his wife Martha of Humboldt, IL; 56 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Katie Ann Miller and her husband Jacob of Arthur, IL

He was preceded in death by his parents, David J. and Ida Mae (Schrock) Beachy two grandchildren, Richard Dale Beachy and Johanna Beachy, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joel N. and Sovilla J. (Miller) Schrock.

He was the founder of Beachy’s Bulk Foods in 1978.

Levi was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
