Levi Kauffman

LEVI S. KAUFFMAN, 83 of rural Arthur, IL, passed away at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, September 4, 2008 in Arthur, IL.

Levi was born on April 12, 1925 in Arthur, IL. He was a son of Samuel and Fannie (Miller) Kauffman. He married Mary J. Miller on September 29, 1949 in Arthur, IL.

He is survived by his wife Mary Kauffman of Arthur, IL; three sons, Dale Kauffman and his wife Louise, Elva Kauffman and his wife Joyce and Paul Kauffman and his wife Fern all of Arthur, IL; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Kauffman of Phoenix, AZ and Edward Kauffman and his wife Anna of Arthur, IL and two sisters, Ella and Carrie Kauffman both of Decatur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Wendall Kauffman; one great grandson, Caleb Mast; three brothers, Albert, Ervin and Fred Kauffman and two sisters, Cora and Tillie Herschberger

Levi retired from farming and he and his wife operated Kauffman’s Upholstering for several years.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Otto Center

Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral.

Thursday August 7, 2008, 9:00 AM at Otto Center

Bishop Omer Otto will officiate.

Sunday September 7, 2008 at Otto Cemetery

Burial will be held immediately following the funeral service.
