Lewis David "Buster" Gibson

Lewis David “Buster” Gibson, 73, of Arcola, IL passed away at 2:06 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the Arcola Health Care Center.

Private services will be held at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Lewis was born on November 16, 1950 in Elk Valley, TN. He was the son of Leon and Floria (Baird) Gibson. 

He is survived by two children, Amy Martin and her husband Jimmy of Buchanan, TN and Michael Gibson of Gary, IN, two grandchildren, Austin Allison and his wife Lela and Megan Lowe and her husband Austin, four great grandchildren, Emery Allison, Josie Jade, Jesse James, and Jemma Jean Lowe, one sister, Patti Ard of Arcola, IL, and two aunts, Dorothy Douglas of Piqua, OH and Aline Ford of Jellico, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Peggy Stratton.

Buster was raised in Elk Valley, TN until 1963 when the family moved to Gary, IN.

Buster was a plumber for over 30 years and moved to Arcola in the early 1980s.
