Lizzie Herschberger

LIZZIE ANN (MILLER) HERSCHBERGER, 77, of Arthur, IL passed away at 12:05 A.M. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday May 12, 2018 at the family residence, 370 East CR 300 North, Arthur, IL. Bishop Raymond S. Miller will officiate.  Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL.  Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the family residence.  The Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL is assisting with arrangements.

Lizzie was born on August 8, 1940 in Moultrie County, IL.  She was a daughter of William G. and Katie Ann (Beachey) Miller.  She married Levi J.D. Herschberger on October 27, 1960 in Arthur, IL.

Survivors include her husband Levi J.D. Herschberger of Arthur, IL; 4 children, Ruth Schrock and her husband Howard of Arthur, IL, Wilma Hostetler and her husband Kenneth of Arthur, IL, Wilbur Herschberger and his wife Barbara Ann (Miller) of Arthur, IL and Howard Herschberger and his wife Dorothy Mae (Jess) of Arcola, IL; 2 sons-in-law, Phillip Gingerich and his wife Lisa of Arthur, IL and Kenneth Helmuth and his wife Katie of Michigan; 35 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild; and 4 brothers, Reuben W. Miller of Sullivan, IL, Jacob W. Miller of Arthur, IL, Harley W. Miller of Arthur, IL and Elva W. Miller of Marion, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, Verba Gingerich and Rosa Helmuth, 3 grandsons, Willard Helmuth, Lavern and Lamar Herschberger; and 2 sisters, Alta Chupp and Mary Helmuth.

Lizzie was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
