Lizzie Kuhns

LIZZIE “ANN” KUHNS, 90, of Arthur, IL passed away at 7:06 A.M. on Friday, October 3, 2014 at her home.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 475 E. State Rt. 133 in rural Arcola, IL. Funeral services, with a visitation one hour prior, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church in rural Arcola, IL. Pastors Larry Rocke and Lonnie Gingerich will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Ann was born on April 9, 1924 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Levi G. and Carrie (Kauffman) Miller. She married Jerry B. Kuhns on September 27, 1945 in Arthur, IL and they enjoyed 69 years and 6 days of Holy Matrimony

Ann is survived by her husband Jerry Kuhns; seven children, Willis E. Kuhns and his wife Dee of Arthur, IL, Carol A. Miller and her husband Kenneth of Arthur, IL, Lloyd J. Kuhns and his wife Goldie of Ephrata, PA, Ervin J. Kuhns and his wife Nancy of Sullivan, IL, Glen L. Kuhns and his wife Marie of Middlebury, IN, Delores F. Kauffman and her husband Larry of Arthur, IL, and Paul J. Kuhns and his wife Sarah of Arthur, IL; three sisters, Fannie Bontrager of Peru, IN, Lela Reynolds of Arthur, IL, and Mary L. Yoder of Arcola, IL; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter in October 1957, twin grandsons, Christopher and Curtis Kuhns and two brothers, Eli William Miller and Harvey L. Miller.

Ann was a member of the Sunnyside Mennonite Church. She enjoyed reading, quilting and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed being with family and attending church.
