Lorine Conner

LORINE CONNER, 88, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 2:40 A.M. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Tuscola Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Edwards Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Conner will officiate. Burial will be in the Broadus Cemetery in rural Tuscola, IL. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the funeral home.

Lorine was born on June 8, 1925 in Camargo, IL. She was a daughter of Lester and Jennie Margaret (Long) Lough. She married Homer Dale Conner on January 25, 1946 in Hindsboro, IL. He passed away on February 26, 2000.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Conner and his wife Judy and Dale Conner and his wife Celeste all of Camargo, IL; two daughters, Sheila Barnes of Newman and Linda Stabler of Tuscola, IL; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer, one son Michael Conner one granddaughter Brandy Lynn Miller, one sister, Frances Brocksmith and one brother, Harold Askins.

Lorine was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Villa Grove, IL.
She had worked at the Poplar Café in Tuscola, IL for several years and the Nightingale Nursing Home in Tuscola, IL.

She enjoyed reading, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
