LOVINA KAUFFMAN, 85 of Arthur, IL passed away at 5:15 P.M. Friday, September 4, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Eli Herschberger residence 145 E. CR 300N. Arthur, IL. Bishop Omer Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery. Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral service at the residence. Edwards Funeral Home 221 E. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
Lovina was born June 13, 1924 in Lovington, IL. She was a daughter of John C. and Lucy (Miller) Yoder. She married Ervin S. Kauffman November 24, 1942 in Arthur, IL. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include three daughters Bertha Lorene Chupp and her husband Elva M. of Arthur, IL, Lucy Ellen Bontrager and her husband Marvin of Kokomo, IN and Betty Louise Herschberger and her husband Eli of Arthur, IL; one daughter-in-law, Emma (Lengacher) Kauffman of Sarasota, FL; two sisters Mattie Schlabach of Arthur, IL and Bertha Gingerich of Arcola, IL; two sisters in-law, Alta (Melvin) Yoder of Roodhouse, IL and Clara (Noah)Yoder of Arthur, IL; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Lovina was preceded in death by her husband, one son Kenneth, one stillborn great grandson, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Lovina was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
