Lydia Gingerich

LYDIA F. GINGERICH, 92, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 2:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at her residence in rural Tuscola, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Otto Center in Arthur, IL. Bishop Sam Schrock will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL. Visitation will be anytime after 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Otto Center. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Lydia was born on December 9, 1919 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Simon E. and Fannie (Diener) Otto. She married Eli C. Gingerich on May 14, 1942 in Arthur, IL.

She is survived by her husband, Eli Gingerich, four children, Ruby Viola Raber and her husband Al of Sun City, AZ, Willis Ray Gingerich and his wife Rolene of Goshen, IN, Sarah May Gingerich of Sarasota, FL, and Irene Freeman of Tuscola, IL; two sisters, Eliza Schrock of Lovington, IL and Katie Schrock of Arthur, IL; one brother, Robert Otto of Bella Vista, AR; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, a grandson, three brothers, Obed Otto, Otis Otto and Andrew Otto and two sisters, Barbara Miller and Verna Yoder.

Lydia was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
