LYDIA STUTZMAN, 92, of Arthur, IL passed away at 6:40 A.M. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church in Chesterville, IL. Rev. Larry Rocke will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the church. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Lydia was born on April 25, 1921 in Douglas County. She was a daughter of David Y. and Mattie (Schrock) Yoder. She married Levi Stutzman in Arthur, IL on October 15, 1940. He passed away on February 9, 1991.

Survivors include three sons, Willis Stutzman and his wife Betty and Paul Stutzman and his wife Carol all of Arthur, IL and Nelson Stutzman and his wife Karen of Conrath, WI; four daughters, Viola Stutzman and Sarah Kauffman and her husband Virgil all of Arthur, IL, Mary Ellen Rowe and her husband Danny of Louisville, KY and Anna Janzen and her husband Milton of Newport News, VA; one sister-in-law, Mary Alice Yoder of Shipshewana, IN; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Levi D. Yoder, Joseph D. Yoder, Jonas D. Yoder, Andy D. Yoder and Enos D. Yoder; four sisters, Annie D. Schrock, Elizabeth D. Schrock, Fannie D. Yoder and Gertrude D. Schrock; one grandson, Mark Justin Kauffman and one great-grandson, Tanner Tabb.

Lydia was a longstanding member of the Sunnyside Mennonite Church who enjoyed piecing quilts and sewing.

Memorials may be made to the Sunnyside Mennonite Church.
