Malakai Miller

Malakai Levi Miller, born December 27th ,2014 at Carle Foundation hospital in Champaign, Illinois, passed away at his home on October 3rd,2017.

He is survived by an abundance of family whose love for him unfortunately couldn't keep him here.

Malakai was born a fighter. He was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 when he was in the womb and given a month to live. He gave us 2 years, 9 months, and 6 days. He was not your typical two-year-old but he thrived and hit so many milestones throughout his short life. He was full of happiness and spunk, and it was clear to anyone and everyone he came across. His laugh and smile were infectious, and he could bring a smile to absolutely any one’s face.

His favorite show was Adventure Time and his favorite stuffed animals were probably a tie between his fishy and Aldo. He loved to lay under his playmat and play with his animals. He loved to be read and sang to while you played with his hair.

Our hearts hurt but knowing how many lives he touched during his short life makes us smile. Malakai, you are forever missed and loved. Our corner of the earth looks so different without you in it. Rest easy Buckwheat.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.
