Marjorie Newman

Marjorie Eileen Newman, 83, of Urbana, IL passed away at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Champaign County Nursing Home.
Private family services were held. The Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola is assisted with arrangements.
Marjorie was born on March 8, 1931 in Effingham, IL. She was a daughter of Arthur and Norma Jean Marion (Shields). She married Harry C. Newman in 1949 in Decatur, IL. Harry passed away in 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Yolonda Newman and her husband David Zanaglia of Urbana, IL; two sons, Mark Newman and Joseph Newman, and two granddaughters, Cassandra Zanaglia, Chanelle Troedel and her husband Adam Troedel.
Marjorie was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness congregation for over 50 years. She retired from the University of Illinois in 1999.
