Marjorine Orr

Marjorine Orr, 92, of Niantic passed away at 11:30 AM Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Mason Point in Sullivan, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 27, 2012 at GT Church, Lost Bridge Campus (2710 Lost Bridge Road) in Decatur, IL. Pastor Matt Samuels will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery. Memorials can be made to GT Church.

Marge was born July 15, 1919 at home in Morgan County, IL. She was a daughter of Jesse and Clara (Lacey) Vedder. She married Sherman D. Orr on April 12, 1950.

She retired from Carson Pirie Scott after 21 years. She attended GT Church.

Surviving are her daughters; Franny (Elaine) Doyle and husband Maurice of Decatur and Barb Hogue and husband Ron of Mt. Zion, son Steve Orr of Decatur. We love you, Mom. She will be dearly missed by her eleven grandchildren, their spouses, her nine great grandchildren, and her great, great granddaughter. She is the best grandma ever. We love you, Nana. Sister Betty Pennell of O’Fallon, MO, brother Ronnie Vedder and wife Shirley of Fairbury, IL.

She is the epitome of love and hospitality; two traits Jesus holds in high regard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her twin sister, and two brothers.
