MARLYS LUANN HELMUTH, 4 months and 10 days, of Arthur, IL passed away at 2:55 A.M. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Funeral services were held 9:00 A.M. Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Elva Brenneman residence, 1760 CR 2300N, Arthur, IL. Bishop Edward J. Chupp officiated. Burial was in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL. Visitation was held any time prior to the funeral at the Brenneman residence. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Marlys was born on September 20, 2012 in Urbana, IL, the daughter of Nelson W. and JoAnn (Herschberger) Helmuth.

She is survived by her parents Nelson and JoAnn Helmuth of Arthur, IL; one brother Kenton Helmuth of Arthur, IL; grandparents, Willard and Irene (Miller) Helmuth, Kenneth and Ruby (Miller) Herschberger all of Arthur, IL; aunts and uncles, Steven and Lucy Helmuth, Larry Helmuth, Melvin and Marnita Helmuth, Marnita Helmuth, Larry and Nancy Herschberger, Steven Herschberger, Richard and Lisa Gingerich, Rhoda Herschberger, and Phillip Herschberger all of Arthur, IL, Marcus and Lydianna Kaufman of Lovington, IL; great-grandparents, Oba Helmuth, Eli and Anna Marie (Stutzman) Herschberger, and Eli Miller, all of Arthur, IL.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Anna Mae Helmuth, Simon and Lydia Miller, Mattie Miller, and Ruby Herschberger, and a step-great-grandmother, Katie Miller.

Marlys’s parents are members of the Old Order Amish Faith.
