Marrianne Leigh

Marrianne J. Shaffer Leigh, 80, of Clinton, IL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 1:10 P.M. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton, IL.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at the Arcola Cemetery in Arcola IL. Rev. John Higgins will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL is assisting with arrangements.

Marrianne was born in Arcola, IL on May 25, 1929. She was a daughter of Lillian Shaffer Cross. She married Junior Wayne Leigh on April 24, 1955. He passed away in December of 1969.

She is survived by some very special friends and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.

Marriane retired from the Central Gulf Railroad in 1987. She has lived in Clinton, IL since 1978. She loved dogs and enjoyed gardening, antiquing and spending time with family and friends.

She had been a member of the Arcola Free Methodist Church and attended the Christian Church in Clinton.

She leaves her blessings to all creatures great and small.
