MARTHA L. (CHUPP) OTTO, 84 of Humboldt, IL passed away at 5:15 A.M. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. 

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the Otto Center, South of Arthur, IL. Bishop Lamar Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, September 16, 2024 and 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 all at the Otto Center. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Martha was born on November 20, 1939 in Moultrie County, IL. She was a daughter of Levi J. and Esther C. (Gingerich) Chupp. She married Alvin J. Otto on February 16, 1960 in Moultrie County, IL. He passed away on May 18, 1996.

She is survived by three children, Nelson Ray Otto of Humboldt, IL, Howard A. Otto and his wife Betty Louise (Miller) of Arthur, IL, and Annie Marie Miller and her husband, Andy William; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three siblings, Melvin L. Chupp of Arcola, IL, Harvey L. Chupp and his wife, Mary Louise (Otto) of Arthur, IL and Lydia Palmer of Arthur, IL, and one brother-in-law, Levi Schrock of Sullivan, IL

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Levi J. and Easther C. (Gingerich) Chupp, her step mother, Eliza Schrock, her husband, Alvin Otto, one son Leroy A. Otto, one great granddaughter, Kara Marie Otto, three siblings, Floyd Chupp, Elvin Chupp, and Mary Ann Schrock (who passed away 59 years ago to the day September 15, 1965), two sisters-in-law, Mary (Yoder) Schrock and Verna (Otto) Chupp. 

Martha was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
