Martha S. (Otto) Plank, 79, of Arthur, IL passed away at 10:42 AM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the HCK West Building, in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Larry Diener will officiate. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola. Visitation will be held any time after 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025, and any time after 1:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, all at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Martha was born on August 21, 1945, in Coles County, IL. She was a daughter of Silvanus D. and Lydia (Stutzman) Otto. She married Elmer Edward Plank on December 30, 1971, in Coles County. To this union was born 5 children. They have lived in Holy Matrimony for 53 years.

Martha is survived by her husband Elmer Plank of Arthur, IL; five children, Mary Stutzman of Sullivan, IL, David E. Plank and his wife Lorene (Kauffman) of Cole City, IN, Ruby Herschberger and her husband Paul of Arthur, IL, JoAnn Plank and her husband Jerry of Lovington, IL and Carolyn (Mast) Rocke and her husband Dave, of Lovington, IL; 22 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, one sister, Esther Herschberger, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Elvin (Lisa) Plank, Wilmer (Lovina) Plank, Howard (Mary) Plank, Catherine Plank, Ruth Miller and Rueben (Clara) Plank.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Silvanus and Lydia Otto, a son-in-law, Joe A. Mast, three brothers, John William Otto (who died in infancy), Jonas (Beaulah) Otto, and Harvey Otto, two sisters, Edna (Mose) Keim, and Mary Ann (Melvin) Schrock, and a brother-in-law, Ervin Herschberger.

Martha was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.

She enjoyed gardening, growing plants and flowers of all kinds. She also enjoyed quilting, and oil painting.
