MARVIN BENJAMIN JESS, 22, of Arthur, IL passed away at 11:15 P.M. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at his residence in rural Arthur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Nelson Jess residence in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Omer Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral at the Nelson Jess residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting Marvin’s family with funeral arrangements.

Marvin was born on January 12, 1987 in Tuscola, IL. He is a son of Omer E. and Susanna Marie (Gingerich) Jess.

He is survived by his parents Omer and Susanna Jess of Arthur, IL; fifteen siblings, Richard Jess and his wife Loretta of Ava, IL, Amanda Miller and her husband Marcus of Arcola, IL, Dorothy Herschberger and her husband Howard of Arcola, IL, Dwayne Jess, Leroy Jess, Nelson Jess and his wife Erma, David Jess and his wife JoEllen, Leona Jess, Clarence Jess, Raymond Jess, Esther Jess, Joseph Jess, Wilma Jess, Vernon Jess of and Merlin Jess all of Arthur, IL; his paternal grandmother, Sovilla Jess and his maternal grandmother, Sovilla Gingerich both of Arthur, IL; 7 nieces, 11 nephews and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ervin Jess and Ben Gingerich and three nephews, Timothy Miller and Lamar and Lavern Herschberger



He was employed by Prairieland Construction LLC.
