MARVIN E. MILLER, 67, of Arthur, IL passed away at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the HCK West Building, 2008 CR 1800 East, one mile south of Arthur, IL. Bishop Howard Miller will officiate. Interment will be in the Otto Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday, October 5, 2014 and will be held Monday October 6, 2014 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the HCK West Building, rural Arthur, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Marvin was born February 19, 1947 in Tuscola, IL. He was a son of Andy A. and Edna C. (Bontrager) Miller. He married Anna Mae Hostetler on February 24, 1966 in Arcola, IL. She survives.
Marvin is also survived by 7 children Ervin M. and his wife Heidi Sue (Platzbecker) Miller, of DeBary, FL, Andy Ray and his wife Julie Ellen (Julius) Miller of Millstone Twp., NJ, Mary Louise and her husband Lamar Yoder of Arcola, IL, Ruth Ann and her husband Raymond Herschberger of Arthur, IL, Mattie Marie and her husband Nelson Miller of Arthur, IL Omer Jay Miller of Humboldt, IL and Elmer M and his wife Loretta (Schrock) Miller of Arcola, IL; 34 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers Melvin Ray Miller and his wife Mary of Sarasota, FL, Alva Miller and his wife Elsie of Arcola, IL, Edward Miller and his wife Ruth of Arthur, IL; 5 sisters Mary Miller of Arthur, IL, Dorothy Miller and her husband Kenneth of Arthur, IL, Verna Herschberger and her husband Mervin of Arthur, IL, Edna Mae Herschberger and her husband Willard of Arthur, IL and Anna Herschberger and her husband Nelson of Arthur, IL.
His parents Andy A. and Edna C. Miller and one brother Ervin Miller preceded him in death.
Marvin was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
Marvin managed The Arthur Sale Barn for over 12 years and enjoyed his horses.
