MARVIN C. STUTZMAN, 71 of Sullivan, IL passed away at 7:25 A.M. on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Graber Building Supply in rural Sullivan, IL. Bishop William C. Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be any time after 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Graber Building Supply in rural Sullivan, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Marvin was born on December 19, 1940 in Arthur, IL. He was a son of Clarence E. and Elizabeth (Gingerich) Stutzman. He married Sarah Mae (Herschberger) on September 27, 1966 in Coles County, IL. They lived in Holy Matrimony 46 years and 1 month.
He is survived by his wife Sarah Mae, 8 children, Nathanael Stutzman and his wife Arlene (Schrock) of Humboldt, IL, Marcus Stutzman and his wife Ruth (Borntrager) of Arcola, IL, Sanford Stutzman and his wife Irma (Herschberger) of Campbell Hill, IL, Rhoda Plank of Arthur, IL, Leander Stutzman and his wife Deloris (Herschberger) of Humboldt, IL, Elizabeth Yoder and her husband Clifford of Arthur, IL, David Stutzman and his wife Treva (Hostetler) of Sullivan, IL and Jonathan Stutzman and his wife Melinda (Stutzman) of Sullivan, IL; 46 grandchildren; 1 brother, John Elmer Stutzman and his wife Evelyn (Neff) of Arthur, IL and 4 sisters, Magdalene Stutzman of Sullivan, IL, Anna Marie Herschberger and her husband Eli of Arthur, IL, Lucy Schrock and her husband David of Arthur, IL and Carol Stutzman of Sullivan, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elizabeth (Gingerich) Stutzman, son-in-law Leroy Plank, and a granddaughter LeAnna Kay Stutzman.
Marvin was a cabinet maker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
