Mary Cobb

MARY COBB, 84, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 9:30 P.M. on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Mattoon Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Mattoon, IL.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. To 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Wolfe will officiate.

Mary was born on September 10, 1928 in Mattoon, IL. She was a daughter of Sherman and Blanche Marie (Lemons) Wildman. She married Bruce M. Cobb on May 2, 1948 in Mattoon, IL.

She is survived by her husband, Bruce M. Cobb of Mattoon, IL, four children, Mike Cobb and his wife Rita of Arthur, IL, Gene Cobb of Macon, IL, Connie Drake and her husband Steve of Arcola, IL and Gary Cobb and his wife Laura of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Shane Cobb and Jodi Hubbard; Jason Drake and his wife Heather, and Sarah Crist and her husband Charlie; and Rhiannon Zeruto and her fiancé Jim Meadows; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Larry Wildman and his wife Kate of Spring, TX and Danny Wildman and his wife Kathy of Mattoon, IL and one sister, Peg Wickersham of Mattoon, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Michelle (Cobb) Fugate, one brother Jerry Wildman, and two sisters, Laverne Graven and Patty Farrell.

Mary was a member of the Broadway Christian Church.

She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but especially her grandchildren. She always went to any sporting event or activity her grandchildren were involved in.
