Mary Good

MARY ELIZABETH GOOD, 82, Arcola, IL passed away at 2:15 P.M. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Tuscola Health Care Center in Tuscola, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Edwards Funeral Home 221 E. Main St., Arcola, IL. Dick Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Mary was born on February 10, 1930 in Bowling Green, KY. She was a daughter of Charles Russell and Pauline (Carey) Shaw. She married Dan Good on November 11, 1949 in Tuscola, IL.

Survivors include her husband Dan Good of Arcola, IL; two sons, Jerry Good and his wife Brenda of Champaign, IL and Jim Good of Oakland, IL; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don Shaw and Bill Shaw and his wife Shirley all of Griffin, GA and Philip Shaw of Valdosta, GA and one sister, Sally Davis of Arcola, IL.

Mary was preceded in death by her Parents, three brothers, Chuck Shaw, Sherman Shaw, and Jess Shaw and two sisters, Carolyn Sue Allen and Alma Albritton.

Mary was a member of the Kemp Church of Christ.

She had been a Secretary of the PTA back in the 1960s.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grand, great, and great-great-grand-children.
