Mary Hochstetler

Mary Hochstetler, 89 years, 2 months,of Arcola, IL passed away at 2:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the HCK Building, one mile south of Arthur, IL.  Bishop Jeff Miller will officiate.  Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be anytime prior to the funeral at the HCK Building.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Mary was born on October 17, 1932 in Arthur, IL to Menno J. and Emma S. (Yutzy) Schrock.  She married Levi J. Hochstetler on March 13, 1951.  He passed away on May 26, 2012.

Survivors include two sons, LaVern Hochstetler and Robert Hochstetler and his wife Linda, one daughter, Marlene Miller and her husband Raymond all of Arcola, IL, one daughter-in-law, Barbara Hochstetler of Arcola, IL, 31 grandchildren, and 97 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Joe Herschberger, husband, one daughter, Barbara Rose Hochstetler, one son, Allen Hochstetler, one daughter-in-law, Lorena Hochstetler, three grandchildren, one great grandchild, four brothers, Joe Schrock and his wife Ada, Chris Schrock and his wife Lydia, Jacob Schrock and his wife Fannie, and Daniel Schrock and his wife Katie Ann and four sisters, Anna Mast and her husband Fred, Lena Miller and her husband Dan, Elizabeth, Barbara Herschberger and her husband Joas.

Mary was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
