Matthew Herschberger

Matthew Lynn Herschberger, 16, of Arcola IL, passed away early morning on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in Ellsworth County, KS.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Edward J. Stutzman residence, 1748 East CR 2200 North, Arthur, IL.  Bishop Jacob Stutzman will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be any time after 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Edward J. Stutzman residence.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Matthew was born on March 14, 2002 in Decatur, IL.  He was a son of Dwayne J. and Treva Ann (Herschberger) Herschberger.

Survivors include his parents, Dwayne and Treva Herschberger of Arcola, IL; four sisters, Lynetta Faye Schrock and her husband Wilbur, Karen Renee Herschberger, Darlene Kay Herschberger, and Marilyn Marie Herschberger all of Arcola, IL; two brothers, Keith Lavon Herschberger of Atwood, IL and Glendon Eli Herschberger of Arcola, IL; paternal grandparents, Edwin M. and Katie (Hostetler) Herschberger of Arthur, IL;  and maternal grandparents, Eli and Anna Marie (Stutzman) Herschberger of Arthur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ruby Ellen Herschberger and an aunt, Dorothy Helmuth.

Matthew had worked for Central Power Product of Arthur, IL for over a year.

Matthew attended the Old Order Amish Church.
