Mattie Yoder

MATTIE A. (HELMUTH) YODER, 79, of Arthur, IL, passed away June 6, 2015 at 6:15 P.M. at her residence.

Funeral services were held at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Jerry Yoder residence. Bishop Omer Otto officiated. Burial was at the Yoder Cemetery. Visitation was any time after 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Jerry Yoder residence. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Mattie is the daughter of Albert and Anna (Miller) Helmuth. She was born on March 23, 1936. She married Ralph Yoder.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph, one daughter, Carol Ann and her husband Elva Schrock of Arcola, IL, six sons, Paul and his wife Naomi Otto of Sullivan, IL, Dennis and his wife Lorene Yoder of Arcola, IL, Eldon and his wife Dena Chupp of Arcola, IL, Jerry and his wife Marnita Miller of Arthur, IL, Wilmer of Mattoon, IL, Mervin and his wife Lorene Schrock of Arcola, IL, two daughter-in-laws, Clara Mae Yoder of Arthur, IL, and Lisa Yoder and her husband Philip Gingerich of Arthur, IL, three brothers, Jacob Helmuth of Arthur, IL, Orie Helmuth of North Carolina, and Levi Helmuth of Mississippi, three sisters, Mrs. Leroy Edna Farmwald of Nappanee, IN, Mrs. John Viola Jess of Arthur, IL, and Mrs. Roy Emma Corona of Gulfport, MS, 47 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Ernest Yoder and Marcus Yoder, one granddaughter, Rosanna Yoder, one sister, Martha Arcilla, and her parents, Albert and Anna Helmuth.
