Melvin Chupp

MELVIN JOSEPH “WOODY” CHUPP, 41 of Chesterville, IL passed away at 1:02 P.M. on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2011 at the former Horizon Home Center Building in Arthur, IL. Rev. Duane Kuhns and Rev. Leroy Miller officiated. Burial was in the Yoder Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation was from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 13, 2011 at the former Horizon Home Center Building in Arthur, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Woody was born on November 22, 1969 in Arthur, IL he was a son of Elvin L. and Anna J. (Schrock) Chupp.

He is survived by his mother, Anna J. Chupp of Arthur, IL; seven siblings, Eldon Ray Chupp and his wife Betty of Chesterville, IL, Olen E. Chupp and his wife Lucy of Arthur, IL, Carolyn Gingerich and her husband Paul of Arthur, IL, Mary Ellen Kaufman and her husband Lloyd of Arthur, IL, Danny Lynn Chupp and his wife Loretta of Arthur, IL, Levi Dean Chupp and his wife Sue of Arthur, IL and Esther Kaufman and her husband Steve of Tuscola, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elvin L. Chupp.

Woody had been a member of the Bourbon Baptist Church.

He was employed by G and E Transport of Arthur as a truck driver.
