MENNO J. HERSCHBERGER, 86, of Humboldt, IL passed away at 11:33 P.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

Menno was born on March 31, 1921 in Arthur, IL. He was a son of Jacob and Katie (Diener) Herschberger. He married Cora S. Kauffman on October 16, 1941 in rural Arthur, IL.

He is survived by his wife Cora Herschberger of Humboldt, IL; six children, Fannie Miller and her husband Marvin of Shelbyville, IL, Raymond Herschberger and his wife Pat of Belvidere, IL, Dorothy Nichols and her husband Charles of Mattoon, IL, Larry Herschberger and his wife Pat of Syracuse, IN, Virgil Herschberger and his wife Brenda of Hillsboro, TN and Betty Dodson of Sullivan, IL; one brother, Toby Herschberger and his wife Lydia of Arthur, IL; two sisters, Alma Kauffman of Arthur, IL and Alta Yoder of Roodhouse, IL and fourteen grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 6 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-great grandchildren..

Menno was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Fannie Hostetler

He was a member of the Arthur Mennonite Church.

Menno farmed in the Humboldt area since 1953. Prior to farming, he drove a delivery truck for Wayne's Feed of Arthur, IL.
