Mervin Kauffman

MERVIN E. “WHEEL” KAUFFMAN, 54, of Arthur, IL passed away peacefully at 3:18 P.M. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jon Sommers. He left to grieve, his mother and father, Edward and Anna Kauffman. His 5 brothers and 2 sisters: Glen & Carolyn, their children Eric, Amy & Dallas, Randy, Nik, & Kelly; Gary & Dorothy, their children Todd, Angie& Miles, & Kimberly; Dorothy Sommers, her children Heather, Hannah & Tanner; Jim & Ginny, their children Justin, Chad & Jeremy; Phil & Cindy; Roger &Jodi, their children Katlynn, Logan, Makenzi,& Ryli; Kevin & Treva Miller, their children Sophie, Mitchell, Stacey, Alisha,& Natasha.

He enjoyed God's great outdoors and loved his family. His nieces and nephews were very special to him. He was an awesome buddy and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 12 at the Arthur Mennonite Church. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Arthur Mennonite Church. Rev. Michael Dean and Rev. Duane Kuhns will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery in rural Arcola. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
