MILDRED SHEPPARD, 92, of Arcola, IL passed away at 1:15 P.M. on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Arthur Home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Edwards Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Williamson will officiate. Private burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery.
Mildred was born on May 4, 1919 in Arcola, IL. She was a daughter of Albert and Mary (Finn) Alcorn. She married John Sheppard on June 21, 1983 in Champaign, IL.
She is survived by her husband John Sheppard of Arcola, IL; one daughter, Joyce Reyerson and her companion Alan Bean of Arcola, IL; a daughter-in-law, Regina Wiese of Urbana, IL; four step-sons, David Sheppard and his wife Linda of Newton, IL, Denis Sheppard and his wife Sherry of Moroa, IL, Joe Sheppard and his wife Jeannie of Festus, MO and Kevin Sheppard of Elkhart, IN; two step-daughters, Beverly Johnson and her husband Jim of Urbana, IL and Betsy Taubert of Clinton, IL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Kearns, two sons, Gary Wiese and David Wiese, three brothers, Dick, Leo, and Gene Alcorn and one sister Helen Maxwell.
Mildred was a member of the First Christian Church of Arcola, IL
