Nancy Elaine Clark

Nancy Elaine Clark, 74, of Arthur, IL passed away at 11:11 AM on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Visitation honoring Nancy’s life will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Penn Station, 122 East Progress Street in Arthur, IL. The family requests casual dress- comfortable clothes, or your favorite Illini gear. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. 

Nancy was born on August 26, 1950 in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Dale D. and Frances Evelyn (Davis) Atteberry. She married George Robert Clark Jr. on December 11, 1971.

She is survived by her husband George Clark, one son, Jordon Clark and his wife Amber, two granddaughters, Brooke and Alexandria Clark, all of Arthur, IL, two sisters, Barbara Hannon of Decatur, IL and Debby Webb of Mt. Zion, IL, a brother-in-law, Rickey Clark and his wife JoAnn, and a sister-in-law, Linda Barbaree and her husband Jim all of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law, J.B. Webb and Gordon Hannon.

Nancy was a proud graduate of Arthur High School, class of 1968. 

Nancy was a proud member of the American Quarter Horse Association, and a member of the Lovington American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. 

Nancy loved to cook and spend time with her family. She was an avid Illini fan; she spent many years attending every Illinois football game with great friends. Nancy was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan, and she loved music, specifically Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.
