NORMA (ROWLAND) SARVER, 72, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 12:07 A.M. Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Mason Point in Sullivan, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
Norma was born on July 28, 1940 in Moultrie County, IL. She was a daughter of William and Edith E. (Wellbaum) Rowland.
She is survived by two children, Barbara Baker and her special friend Gary Mast of Sullivan, IL and Donnie Pierce and his special friend Vicki Daniell; three grandchildren, Travis Baker and Tyler Baker both of Sullivan, IL and Amy Walter of Kirkland, WA; two brothers, Robert (Eileen) Rowland of Colorado Springs, CO and James Rowland of Mattoon, IL; five sisters, Betty Hughes, Louise (Robert) McNulty, Wilma Alexander, Wanda (Bobby) Vaughan all of Decatur, IL and Eileen Harrington and her special friend Dean Shipman of Sullivan, IL; two brothers-in-law, Calvin Gibbons of Sullivan, IL and Bud Lampe of Mattoon, IL; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Donna Lampe and Linda Gibbons and one brother, William Rowland.
Norma had worked in food service in and around the Mattoon area for several years.
She was a St. Louis Cardinal fan, an Illini Basketball fan and she was a big fan of NASCAR.
Norma enjoyed singing; dancing and she loved to laugh.
