NORMAN LEE, 68 of Tuscola, IL passed away at 9:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Burial will be in the Tuscola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 19, 2008 and one hour prior to the funeral, all at the funeral home.
Norman was born in Dover, DE on August 27, 1939 He was a son of Elmer and Saloma (Wengard) Lee. He married Edna (Beachy) in Maryland on January 24, 1979.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Lee of Tuscola, IL; seven sons; Michael Lee of Spring City, TN, Nathan Lee and his wife Tina of Atwood, IL, Nolan Lee and his wife Cindy of Arthur, IL, Shawn Lee and his wife Jennifer of Evansville, IN, James Lee and his wife Regina of Toledo, IL, Matthew Lee of Arlington Heights, IL and David Lee and his wife Amie of Tuscola, IL; two daughters, Marcia Spear and her husband Bobby of Arcola, IL and Joyce Lee of Peoria; twenty grandchildren, Andrew Spear and his fiancé Reneé, and Crystal Spear, Lita and William Lee, Nathaniel, Wesley, Caleb, Melissa and Cassandra Lee, Jared, Courtney, Lucas and Emma Lee, Nicholas, Benjamin, Joshua and Katherine Lee and Bryona, Chloe and Elizabeth Lee; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Spear; three brothers, John Lee of Arcola, IL, Ernest Lee and his wife of Sovilla of Madison, VA and Daniel Lee and his wife Betty of Dover, DE; six sisters, Mary Hickman of Dover, DE, Lydia Wakeland and her husband Don of Ft. Wayne, IN, Ivy Beachy and her husband Albert of Arcola, IL, Olive Miller of Dover, DE, Fannie Mae Morris and her husband Leonard of Dover, DE and Barbara Lewis and her husband Alvin of Cumberland, MD
He was preceded in Death by his parents, three brothers, Noah David and Joseph Lee and two sisters, Rachel Lee and Matilda Hutchins.
Norman was a retired baker, a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge # 742 of Arthur, IL. He loved being with his beloved wife, children and their families and friends. He loved country music and the Saturday Night Dance with all the friends.
