Omer Schrock

OMER M. SCHROCK, 84 of rural Lovington, IL passed away at 9:00 P.M. on Monday, August 5, 2024 at his residence, surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Otto Center, South of Arthur, IL. Bishop Nelson B. Diener will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be any time after 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 and any time after 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 all at the Otto Center. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Omer was born on October 27, 1939 in Moultrie, County, IL, a son of Moses A. and Ella J, (Yoder) Schrock. He married Barbara Ann Chupp on October 22, 1959 in Arthur, IL.

He is survived by wife, Barbara Ann Schrock, three sons, Roger Schrock and his wife Gertie of Atwood, IL, Larry Schrock and his wife Rosalie of Arthur, IL and Paul Schrock and his wife Carol of Lovington, IL; fifteen grandchildren, Barb Bontrager and her husband Aaron of Sullivan, IL, Lonnie Schrock, Lamar Schrock, Rachel Miller and her husband Matt, Timothy Schrock all of Atwood, IL, Sharilyn Schrock of Tuscola, IL, Regina Herschberger and her husband Ervin of Sullivan, IL, Diane Detweiler and her husband Reuben of Arthur, IL, and Treva, Wilbur, Rosetta, Robert, Richard, Brenda, and Devon Schrock all of Lovington, IL; sixteen great-grandchildren, Shannon, Marissa, Jada, Kade, Travis, Mia, Kamryn, Dominique, Savannah, Ava, Melody, Aliyah, Jamie, Joe Dean, Logan and Liam, and one brother-in-law, Lonnie Plank of Arthur, IL.

Omer was preceded in death by his parents, Mose A. and Ella J. (Yoder) Schrock, one sister, Verna Plank and infant twin siblings.

Omer was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
